How to Free the Alien in Find The Needle (Chapter 2)
To free the alien and escape Chapter 2: 1) Pull the 3 colored levers (Green, Red, Purple) to open the puzzle room; 2) Solve the Crystals count, Keypad code, and Picture tile puzzles; 3) Solving all three automatically unlocks the alien’s jail cell and turns off the lethal red laser grid blocking the ceiling ladder; 4) Grab the Basement Key from the hay, climb the ladder, and unlock the trapdoor to escape into the UFO beam.

Runs behind the Haystack. Located next to stacked wooden boxes in NW corner.
Follow wire towards Sell Hay cart. Mounted directly behind the large wooden sign board.
Runs to the Alien Jail in NE corner. Mounted beside the electric cage & drone station.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Solve All 3 Puzzle Room Challenges
Complete the Keypad Code, Crystal Pedestals, and Picture Tile puzzle inside the vault. Completing the final puzzle triggers an audio siren and lowers the cage forcefield.
Step 2: Confirm Laser Grid Deactivation
Return to the main basement area. The red laser grid crisscrossing the ceiling ladder will now be completely powered off.
Step 3: Retrieve Basement Key & Climb the Ladder
Equip the Basement Key (found in the basement hay pile). Climb the wall ladder to the ceiling hatch, press [E] to unlock it, and step through to trigger the UFO ending.
- •The alien will drop bonus Alien Coins upon release if you free him under 5 minutes.
- •Make sure you have already dug out the key before finishing the last puzzle for fastest clear time.
- Touching the ladder while lasers are active: You will instantly die and lose your current position.
- Reaching the hatch without the Basement Key: You will be stuck at the top until someone opens it.
